Print jobs are vulnerable on their way from the computer work place to the printer and can easily be scanned or re-directed. Securing servers, networks and printers (for example through identification devices) gives the customers a deceptive feeling of security, but doesn’t close the real security gap: the print data themselves must be encrypted effectively and protected against attacks.
