JTalk is a utility- and service application for the management and remote diagnostics of embedded JScribe devices. JTalk may be used to remotely connect to JScribe devices, to query the version of JScribe installed on the device, to upload, activate, deactivate and delete application to/from the device and to retrieve additional information about the system, including the JScribe applications installed on the device.
Until now JTalk was available in two different versions:
June 18, 2009: JTalk 4.3 available
JTalk 4.3 is now capable of handling all former versions of JScribe core and JScribe devices and applications with only one program.
Detailed information and restrictions can be found in the JTalk 4.3 introduction below.
JSEE (JScribe Enterprise Edition) is the developing environment for all JScribe 3.xx devices and enables the definition and control of Business Output Optimization processes without changing or replacing existing IT infrastructures.
JSEE has been superseded by the JScribe Software Development Kit (JSDK).
June 13, 2008: JScribe Package Maker for JSEE 2.5 available
Using the JScribe Enterprise Edition is still the easiest and recommended way of creating an application which can be uploaded to JScribe 3.xx devices. After installing the Package Maker plug in for JSEE 2.5, some additional functionality is added to the JSEE to allow the develop of "JScribe Projects" which can be easy uploaded to a JScribe device which is managed by the JTalk program version 4.0 or higher. These projects are called packages.
