JScribe is an open application and communication platform for servers, workstations, MFDs and printers to exchange information proactively in every direction. Devices can easily be integrated into various types of computing environments for making business processes communicative and manageable.
On top of that, JScribe acts as a basic technology for the development of customer individual or standardized solutions for output and document management, enabled to be run on the device itself and thus - while unifying the way of interchanging the information and the handling of the various types of computing environments and disburdening the network - creates additional value for the customer without changing or replacing existing IT infrastructures.
JScribe offers a technological base that meets the demands of document management solutions (DMS) as well as output management solutions (OMS). It can be used as a homogenous and standardized connection between the various components such as databases, archive systems, servers, print systems, email and fax servers or Internet and intranet connections. The difference between JScribe and traditional DMS and OMS approaches lies in its completely flexible construction.
With the help of basic JScribe technology an application system will develop in conjunction with standardized or with custom designed items, capable of meeting OMS and DMS demands considered impossible until now.
Today our traditional strength in the development of modular solutions and applications is the basis for our future directed technologies.
All products and technologies are self-developed and interlock in a modular concept. This is why we can offer flexibility and independence at the same time - with IEEE ertification.
The JScribe technology and all applications based on it can be used across industries, independent of company size and worldwide.
Our technology concept consists of modular, exchangeable and extendable components for the control of the complete document and output management in a corporate environment.
This means in particular:
With the help of the development tools, customer specific applications can be built by combining standard software module and (optional) special customer related modules to a wide field of applications (Application On Request*).
* "Application On Request": individual, custom tailored applications based on existing tools, solution concepts or finished solutions for generating and administering Output and Content Management processes.
JScribe is also an embedded application - and communication platform for printers and multifunctional devices. The primary goal is to provide an application customization mechanism for these devices.
JScribe is not restricted to specific models or vendors; JScribe applications work on all platforms, which are “JScribe-enabled”. JScribe allows 3rd parties to extend the functionality of these devices by flexible, customised applications. Information can be stored on the MFD's or printer’s hard disk or shared with other units in the network, the intranet or even the Internet.
In other words: the printing system of the future will handle a diversity of complex tasks and disburden PC systems, servers and networks substantially. Individual JScribe applications can be written and optimized for the execution on the printer or MFD.
